I ordered two dryers and dehumidifiers and one of the cylinders would not change from orange, this is the replacement for that.Seems to work very well for keeping moisture out of small spaces, like large sealed metal ammo cans and small spaces, like safes. These are similar to the eva dry rechargable units. They work just as well and are usually a little cheaper. The dryer is quieter and seems faster than the mentioned competition. I probably have 15-20 of the eva dry plug in dryer units (and 4 or 5 of the Evadry plug in dryers) and these are my new go to. I have 4 of these, dark grey and light grey, I buy which is cheaper, they are the same except for color. I have a ton of these things and they work better than the original Evadry. I'm going to keep buying them when needed and to replace my aging eva dry ones.This product has made it easier to use and monitor my humidity levels. I own three of the rods and use them in different locations in my house. I heard of the product from a fellow youtube who stated the product Afloia is one of the best he has used in his safes. I actually agree as it is better then the previous ones I have purchase. I highly recommend this product.Good product for the price, I ran it continuously through the night and it the tank lasted two nights. But it is NOT silent. For this reason I’m probably moving it to a new room because I can’t sleep with it next to my bed. It does improve the dryness in my bedroom during the winter since we have radiator heat. Also, the light while dim, might keep some people awake.I bought this for my spare bed room, if it is filled, it lasts 2 days!!.. which I like that fact.. I have a aromatherapy diffuser for every room besides my bathroom... I love this item.. and I would recommend it to others as well..Have had one unit in my 20x20x25 gun safe and I also put a Govee hygrometer and it’s been 36-38% humidity fluctuating only when opened. I have no wood handled firearms in there so I’m not concerned with it being too low.Used in a gun safe, requires recharging every 5-7 daysThis literally made no difference in our small separated toilet/shower bathroom, even with two in the room. The balls turned black faster and faster with little time in between “dryings.” We placed a humidity and temp monitor in the bathroom and, objectively, noticed absolutely no benefit of this item. We gave it extra time to make a few other adjustments to ensure the best circumstances possible for these dehumidifiers to work. Despite multiple tries and still no benefit, we are, of course, now outside of our return window. Even having purchased these during an Amazon deal, I consider every dollar wasted. I was so hopeful, as this bathroom outcove does not have an outlet (or the space) to utilize an electric dehumidifier. If I could give zero stars, sadly, I would.
