Wow, this works really well! I bought a different, all be it smaller, dehumidifiers and it did hardly anything in comparison. I cannot compare this to another dehumidifier of the same caliber but I am impressed with this one. It is kinda loud on high but I think that might be expected with the volume of water it pulls out of the air. I am having to run it on high until I have a water seepage issue fixed in my basement. The humidity level went from 80% to 40%!Dehumidifies an area for a short while but keeps getting an error codeOnly used I one day. Seems like a well built solid unit. I have it in my basement. It’s spring so my basement is about 62 degrees. It does form ice on the coils but the defrost mode kicks in and it quickly defrosts. Suppose to be good in ambient temperature in the 40’s. I’ll update my review in a few weeks. Ok, two days after writing this review I had to send it back. The unit was freezing up with the ambient temperature of 62 humidity set to 50.The unit had great clearance from any obstructions. It stopped going into defrost mode. It formed a huge ice chunk over the coils. It says it is a low temperature unit in the description. To bad, it seems to be so well built. I really wanted it to work. P.s. Amazon prime is worth the money! If you don’t have it Get it!This was the only dehumidifier i could find that leaves the bucket empty while using pump. Seems silly to have a bucket of water in a machine trying to remove humidity.I replaced my old unit from the same company some 6 years ago. The new one is more updated and I expect to get another 6 years on the new one. I wasn't too happy with their customer service though, I kept getting disconnected and the people I spoke to could not give me any information that I needed, but I bought a new unit anyway.Dehumidifier in my basement works great took the humidity levels from 65+% to below 40% in a few daysGreat powerHappy I do not have to empty bucket like my old oneIt's quiet and works well, but I was very unhappy to find that the drain hose leaked 3 weeks in. The point of the device was to continually drain into my utility sink and I'm back to emptying via the bucket. If that was not the case I'd give it 5 stars.
