I purchased this dehumidifier to go in the basement to control the humidity. Without the dehumidifier the humidity in the summer sits at 65-70% or higher when it's raining. This unit was able to get the humidity down to 50% without issue. The fan is quieter than other units I have used, but they all make some noise if they are moving a large amount of air, which this one does. The compressor itself is very quiet.The controls allow you to do what is needed. The humidity can be adjusted in 1% increments, which is nice as some other units only allow 5% increments. There is a timer function, but I have not used it. It does remember the settings if the power goes off. There is an air filter on the front that is easy to pull out and wash when needed.It does not have a built-in pump so if you do not have a drain nearby you will need to get an external pump to get the water where it needs to go. Not a big deal, but something to be aware of. I have it draining into a condensate pump that when it gets full will pump the water out.My original unit started to have issues keeping the humidity down about 11 months after purchased. It eventually just kept running without reaching the set humidity. I contacted Kesnos customer service and after a few emails back and forth they determined the unit was faulty and are shipping a new one. Customer service has been very good to work with and they seem interested in making sure I am satisfied with the product.We operate a 4000sqft glass fabrication shop and use several water cooled machines so the shop gets very humid. I was looking for a high capacity dehumidifier and most I saw were units the commercial water damage guys use and are very expensive. This unit isn’t as rugged as those commercial plastic units but has the same drying capacity and at a great value. For our use we intend to hook it up in one place and leave it there so it won’t get banged around. We haven’t had time to hook up the continuous drain setup but we’ve been running the unit for over a week and have emptied the tank a lot. One thing I will mention is the tank is very small(1.2gal) and fills up so fast you pretty much have to hook up the continuous drain for practical use. The fan in the unit is fairly loud but it moves a ton of air and the sound is not unpleasant. You can hardly hear the compressor running. Overall it’s quieter than most of those older 30pint jobs you use in the basement. I did a test this morning and it took 2.86 hours to fill the tank at 73F and 68% RH. At 1.2 gallons per tank that’s 10.1 gallons or 80.8 pints per day. That’s actually better than the specs they claim at that temperature and humidity. The weather has been mild lately so I haven’t tested it at 95F and 90%RH where they rate it at 155pints but I will this summer I’m sure. Overall I’m very happy with it so far.This product is easy to move and set up for use. It is quiet running.Item arrived damaged. Tank cover was bent. Side panels were bent. Float in the tank was laying on the bottom of the tank. Pin for the float was missing. Not all the buttons function. I had to spend several hours to fix the shipping damage. This unit is very hard to return. Unit is very heavy. Box was in pieces on arrival. Foam protection was in little pieces. I had to pry the door off the unit to get to the tank. The pin holding the float was missing. I had to make a new pin. Screws inside the unit were missing. The unit seems to work correctly. I wish the manufacturer would do a better job on packaging!!!!Kenos customer support contacted me. They offered a partial refund, or a replacement of the unit.It's a really good value. It's on the cheaper side for commercial dehumidifiers this large. Customer service is excellent also. I would buy kesnos products again in the future.Many people mention it's noisy. I'd say the noise level is very acceptable and really just the fan. The portion that removes the humidity is very quiet. I had a GE I bought 15 years ago that did less work, that was extremely loud.I'm very pleased after experiencing a little confusion with at first. It initially needed some time to begin removing moisture, more than I expected. It's working well now.There isn't a fan adjustment button that i can find ??‍♂️... That's fine. I want it moving lots of air.This unit really pulls out a lot of moisture from our room. You can hear the water running through the hose into our drain almost constantly. The only down side for us are the buttons on top. Some of them don't work when we press on them, so we can't use all of the buttons. But as long as it turns on, off, and regulates the humidity level, it works for us.
