Previously I had a small appliance store dehumidifier in my crawl space and it ran non-stop and you could hear it running from just about anywhere in the house. After replacing it with a BlueDeep model, I cannot tell you how pleased I am. The BlueDeep unit is nearly silent and has taken my crawl space from 80% to 60% humidity in less than one day. On day 2 of use, my crawlspace was at 45% humidity! The musty odor is gone as well as the humidity. This has made the entire house more comfortable as well! I highly recommend this device!!!This dehumidifier works pretty well in my crawl space beneath our master bedroom (the rest of the house is on a slab). It took my 86% humidity down to 55% in a day. I tried moving lower, but it ran for a few days without reaching 50%, so 55% is my sweet spot. It's a little nosier than I'd like, but primarily due to being installed from the floor joists. It's too new to determine energy costs but if you have a mold problem as I do, there is a higher cost to pay if you don't get humidity under control. I also replaced the cheap corrugated hose that came with the unit with a ¾" clear rubber hose. I felt there would be less mold and build-up over time with a smoother hose. There is a noticeable difference in our sleep comfort and it removed the allergy feeling in our throats each morning. I highly recommend this product.Only had the dehumidifier for 1 month and so far it works well. Took the humidity in my crawl space from 80-90 percent down to 55 percent in about 3 days. It now shuts off and restarts itself as needed.I have had 2 Santa Fe crawlspace dehumidifiers in the past, after breaking again I decided not to repair. After researching I chose Blvedeep. It is an awesome machine with outstanding features. I really like the feature of auto shut down at cold temperatures so the compressor does not overheat, and the remote is a bonus.
