Damp warehouses, offices, server rooms, and basements can cause stock damage in the short run and integral damage in the long run (mold growth). The most effective to reduce air moisture from large square footage areas are powerful commercial dehumidifiers.Commercial dehumidifiers are HVAC devices that utilize a condenser and evaporator powered by a compressor to condense and remove indoor air humidity. The most powerful dehumidifiers can capture and pump out more than 20 gallons of water per day. When I was looking for a new commercial dehumidifier, I checked several specifications to guarantee I will get the best commercial dehumidifier for my situation. I found these specs useful for everyone who is looking for a commercial dehumidifier:* Maximum capacity, measured at 90% humidity or saturation.* AHAM capacity, measured at 60-80% humidity by the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers.* Consider the square footage. For a 2,000 sq ft area, you’ll need a stronger industrial dehumidifier than for 1,000 sq ft.* Power, measured in Watts. Residential dehumidifiers are powered by 500W; commercial ones can exceed 1000W. We’ll also convert these kilowatt-hours (kWh) into dollars ($).* Energy efficiency, based on the coefficient of efficiency (COP).* Airflow, measured in CFM. * Noise levels, measured in decibels. It might sound a lot, but figuring out these specifications can help us tremendously to make an educated choice between the best commercial dehumidifier brands.Based on my experience, this humidifier has an efficient performance in removing excess humidity. Installation is smooth, and the dehumidifier works as intended. It comes with simple controls that any buyer can get the hang of easily, and it’s energy-efficient. Also, its height fits well in a low-ceiling environment. This unit has been built for portability. It comes with wheels and a handle. Furthermore, the construction is such that this model can withstand numerous bumps. It is also stackable to make storage easier. I can easily roll it over to any space that requires humidity control. Whether it is meant for flooded spaces or to prevent humidity-caused damage, this model is one I can rely on.This unit can work in low and high temperatures. As crawl spaces tend to have low temperatures, this model can help you out with ensuring comfortable humidity levels as well as preventing mold growth. It can do so because of its Hot Gas Valve Defrosting System or the HGV. This model will remain effective even in temperatures as low and high as 33 and 100 degrees Fahrenheit, respectively. It continues to keep this unit operating without any periodic pauses during the required defrosting process. This dehumidifier gives an area coverage of up to 6000 square feet, which is impressive. The size allows it to be used in crawl spaces, especially the ones in basements, cellars, garages, and storage areas. Such a unit will help to keep the workspace safe from mold growth, which is caused by bad humidity levels. It can remove 180 pints of moisture a day. The built-in pump will automatically drain the collected water once the tank is full. So, you won't have to worry the slightest bit about any extra work for you to do manually. The Hot Gas Bypass system allows for a fast defrost process.PROS* User-friendly model* You can monitor humidity levels* Can get rid of 180 pints of moisture a day* Highly portable because of the wheels, handles, and design* Durable wheels offer high portability* Can operate during hot and cold weather* Features a Hot Gas Bypass System for automatic defrostingCONS* Expensive* No warranty is mentionedThe LUKO dehumidifer has been running in our basement for about 28 days, I let it sit for 2 days in the basement, as per the instructions after it had been delivered to settle everything. Is it noisy, lets just say it is not as noisy as my last one. It sounds a little less noisy as a small window air conditioner. About the loudness of a Hotel air conditioner. However, from our living area to the basement we do not hear the sound. We have a high water table, and underground springs. Yea, moisture.Positives: It really dries our basement quickly.Negatives: You need to manually turn it on and off. What would be a nice future feature: Since this is a dehumidifier, it would be a great thing if there were a humidity level that you can set it to, for it to turn off, and another humidity level to set it to for it to turn on.In my opinion, and people who I have talked to, we all agree on this added feature, or improvement on the dehumidifier.Otherwise, it runs, and runs, and runs. And, so does the electric meter.I was so excited to try receive this dehumidifier. I was impressed with the quality right out of the box. I like how heavy it is, so it’s stable enough to set up around pets and children. It was extremely easy to set up. You basically just plug it in and let it do it’s thing! Right off the bat, I was pleased that it ran pretty quietly. It’s actually the perfect amount of white noise to me. I let it run for about 20 mins and I checked to see if it had collected any water and IT DID! It collected a good bit too! It kinda blew my mind. I like the different settings that it’s got on the machine and there’s an automatic turn off. There is an option to keep it running and it comes with a drainage tube if you choose to go that route. I know dehumidifiers can run rather expensive so I was happy to get this one as it was more in my budget. I highly recommend this for your home, office, business, or wherever you spend time ?.Wasn’t sure that we would need it but I’m glad we have it. We moved from a high desert climate to the east coast and with it being “winter” I didn’t think I’d need it until summer. We’ve had a couple hot nights and left the windows in our bedroom open at night and it got muggy. We plugged this guy in and it consistently did its job We kept it going after we had the windows closed as well until the water intake slowed down. It conveniently beeps when the water tank is full, you just pop the water drawer out and dump it down the sink and start all over again, super easy to use. Love it and probably need a few more for around the house. It is currently in a basement Utility room where we are sealing the floors so it is helping in the process of pulling the moisture from the cement to aid the drying processHave had the unit now for four days. Super impressed with the low noise operation! Good, sleek design.Even though there are not many buttons to touch or press to operate (that's good) it is very functional and essentially meets all the needed requirements.Just one issue that concerns me. The power on button.First time it worked perfectly. Just press it and it started. However, there is not a 'click' for its operation. Just a soft touch it seems.Works fine when toggling for different modes.I had to turn the machine off, so I thought, to empty the water tank. So after putting back the tank in its housing I pressed (touched) the power button. Nothing happened. Tried again and again. Nothing happened.Disconnected/reconnected the power, tried again. Nothing happened.Eventually, it did thankfully start. This did bother me a lot.I am now not powering it off anymore. When the 'tank full' light comes on, I empty the tank WITHOUT powering off. Then just replace tank tank and the unit starts dehumidifying automatically. The manual does not give a Customer Service number to call to, only an email address. I will write to them about this issue. If this is a reoccurring issue, I may have to return the unit.
